Progress Update
The blog’s been a bit quiet over the summer since I’ve been busy joining a new church plant in Euston with all that that entails, but progress on my Old Testament adventure game Ebenezer continues. I have drawn up a new battle plan in the hopes of shipping something by next September: although I’ve written the whole story and all of the puzzles, I’ve decided to scale back my ambitions for now and focus on releasing a demo based around just the first act of the game. That will help me to gauge interest and see if it’s worth investing the time, energy and money in completing the whole thing. What’s more, for now, the demo will be developed as a traditional 2D adventure game, rather than attempting to do it in 3D as previously thought. I continue to use the Unity game engine, meaning excellent cross-platform support on iPhone, Android, Mac and PC, among other things.
